Church

As you now know my secret I will keep you informed of my progress. We received information that the Cross of Odin could be found at a Russian Orthodox Church in Melbourne. According to Moscow I would need to find Prelate Piotr Gogolvitch who has been a valuable source of information for us over many years.

The church is not what you would expect in a suburban scene. It would not be out of place in Moscow or St Petersburg. Large golden minarets shine above white marble and mosaic walls. It has heavy wooden doors which creak on their hinges which was unfortunate. I don't need people to know when I come into a room.

I had been looking for this Prelate, but the only person I found, down near the high altar, was a priest, a Father Boris Shuka. I wasn't authorised to confide in anyone but the Prelate, but the priest seemed to know more about my visit than I did. When he learned that I was from the Embassy he told me about the cross. He told me that I would not find the cross in Church. Instead of the cross he could only provide me with information. He said that he didn't want to say anything in the church. He said that the walls had ears. This I could understand. I always think even the butterflies are spying on me. I would trust this priest. We agreed to meet at a local library.

The troubling thing was that I believe that was followed back to my Embassy. By whom, I could not tell.
